From Pontianak, the capital city of West Borneo, Kapuas Hulu can be accessed by land and air transportations. By land, it will take about 14 to 17 hours and pass some districts such as Sanggau, Sekadau and Sintang. Meanwhile, if we go by plane, it takes about an hour. The capital city of Kapuas Hulu district is Putussibau. There are some hotels, restaurants, banks, cafes and other entertain facilities. Not only that, there are also some places that have interesting panorama to be visited. One of them is the evening sunset nearby Kapuas river.

Commonly, the population of Kapuas Hulu regency consists of Dayak and Melayu ethnics. Those ethnics group enrich culture population in Kapuas Hulu. Not only that, the various livelihood is also the nice thing to be experienced from Kapuas Hulu which are gold panning, rice pounding in group, looking for young bamboo, warfare blow pipe, looking for honey and hunter activities. The second one is adventure. The adventure activity is begun from the soft adventure until the hard adventure that can be done in this area. Trekking across the heavy rain forest of Borneo is the main activity here. The other nice thing is reader can do cross Borneo forest from Western side in the Eastern side or from the Eastern side to the center of the forest. The last one is nature. Kapuas Hulu regency is located between two national parks. They are Danau Sentarum National Park and Betung Kerihun National Park. The parks offer reader various attraction, beauty of panorama and the other special uniqueness which are Semujan Hill and Tahapun Cave. Kapuas Hulu is also a home of flora and fauna. Some of them are Kalimantan’s endemics. They are Freshwater Turtle, Bekantan, Nuri bird and Orangutan.
